Ginny Chase, in her grief over losing
her husband, sells her condo in Boston and buys a farmhouse
in Maine. Ginny is stuck with this old house that needs
tons of repairs.
She hires local contractor Mike
Standish to help with the renovations. Ginny realizes she
might want more than a business relationship with Mike. But
she thinks there is no way that he would consider something
more with her since she is sixteen years older.
Mike’s youth is a non-issue for him.
Not wanting to mix business with pleasure, he tries to
remain professional until Ginny has a breakdown in front of
him. He realizes that she’s the one for him, regardless of
their age difference.
Built to Last is a fun and emotional read.
Ginny’s grief almost prevents her from pursuing a
relationship with Mike. Being 40 and older than Mike is
another hurdle she has to overcome. The chemistry between
them is sizzling, and it is not just about the sex, there is
real emotion involved.. Sierra Dafoe has written these
really wonderful and vulnerable characters. You will enjoy
Built to Last and will want to read it over
and over again. |
