Tarianna is a healer. Taught never to
become involved with who she is healing, Tarianna can’t help
but turn to others to rejuvenate her body because healing
takes so much out of her. Having no choice but to find
sexual partners, Tarianna begins to feel despair at the
shallowness of it all. There is only one man she wants to
fill the void that is her heart; all she has to do is heal
him.
Healer’s Price intrigued
me when I read the blurb on the publisher’s website, so much
that I couldn’t wait to read this book. That’s when my
euphoria ended. I quickly lost my desire to read because
while the plot was excellent, the characters were not.
Tarianna’s needs for sex overshadowed the story and I wasn’t
fully convinced that she loved Greggor. Sex without emotion
is not enjoyable to me as a reader, and most certainly not
as a reviewer. I can’t hold my personal opinion against
this book however, because I am sure there are others who
will really enjoy this quick fantasy novel. Simone Bern’s
writing is fluent, and Healer’s Price is well
written, and I am not against reading something else from
this author. |
