Last year,
Alexis Peters barely escaped Egypt alive. Her faculty advisor
was killed in an attack, and one of the graduate students,
Carson Bonham, disappeared. Alex is now back home, trying to
forget the horror.
Things are
going well until Hunter Storme, Carson’s famous father, shows
up and asks Alex to help him find his daughter. Alex agrees
and travels to Egypt with Hunter.
Ardeth is
one of seven Scorpion warriors cursed by Set. Ardeth and the
other warriors, which include his twin brother, Amenhotep, are
trying to keep Set’s minions from finding a human to read a
curse, and bring Set back to life. The minions want to use
Alex for this task.
Ardeth and
Alex are joined together after he rescued her last year. He
knows that the one way to save her from the minions, and from
keeping the curse from being fulfilled, is for her to join in
his curse. Sharing her with his brother will speed up the
process.
Ardeth &
Amenhotep is an interesting, sexy addition to the Egyptian
Lover stories. I love the characters in this story,
especially Ardeth, who is caring and gentle with Alexis. The
idea of a man changing into a sphinx fascinates me, and is
wonderfully portrayed in this tale.
Each book in
the series gets better, and I look forward to seeing what Ms.
Jordan has in store for this series. I now want Amenhotep to
find his own soul mate. |
