Katherine McCoy is determined not to
lose her childhood home, but she and her sister Anna are
fast running out of money. Luckily, Kat has devised a
plan. She’ll head to Carson City, Nevada and make her
fortune playing poker. Her first night in Carson City is
everything she had expected, except for her attraction to
gambler and railway worker Gideon Marshall.
Gideon and his lover and boss, Nathan
Harcker, have an almost perfect partnership. Their love for
each other is absolute, but both want to add a woman to
their relationship. Immediately upon meeting Kat, Gideon
knows she’s the woman for them, and Nathan agrees
wholeheartedly. The only person who doesn’t think it’s a
good idea is Kat. But with two strong men determined to woo
her, there’s no way Kat will be able to bluff her way out of
her attraction to the pair.
The rough and tumble Old West comes to
life in the sexy Kat Rides the Iron Men.
While the backdrop of the story is based more on fantasy
than history, Christine Michaels nevertheless has delivered
pure erotic entertainment. Gideon and Nathan are almost
adorable in their strong belief that Kat’s the one for
them. I still haven’t quite figured out why, given that she
wasn’t quite a memorable heroine for me, but all the same I
liked their devotion. Gideon and Nathan complement one
another perfectly and the scenes between the two of them
were some of my favorites in the book. Kat Rides the
Iron Men was the first book I’ve read of Ms.
Michaels’s and after reading the book’s epilogue, I can
safely say I’ll be back for more if Ms. Michaels pens a
story for Anna. |
