Dominick has quit his last publisher
after he finally had it with his prejudiced editor. Tired
beyond belief, Dom has made his way to Bedtime Stories Press
with a suitcase full of unpublished manuscripts. At
Bedtimes Stories Press he finds more than he ever imagined.
His editor, Jean-Paul, is a sexy incubus who turns Dom on
like no one else. This wouldn’t be a problem, except that
when Dom is aroused he turns into an ogre…
Magic and mayhem seem to live at
Bedtime Stories Press. At least it does in Ugly
Duckling. Lena Austin puts her own unique spin on a
familiar fairytale to present a story of a writer that
really can be an ogre, his unusual editor,
nasty-in-a-bad-way curses, and, of course,
nasty-in-a-good-way sex. I liked the originality of
Ugly Duckling, but unfortunately I raised an eyebrow
more than once at the dialogue. I give Ms. Austin high
marks on creativity, but, for me, the story fell through on
the execution. |
