Magic and mayhem seem to live at Bedtime Stories Press.  At least it does in Ugly Duckling.  Lena Austin puts her own unique spin on a familiar fairytale to present a story of a writer that really can be an ogre, his unusual editor, nasty-in-a-bad-way curses, and, of course, nasty-in-a-good-way sex.  I liked the originality of Ugly Duckling, but unfortunately I raised an eyebrow more than once at the dialogue.  I give Ms. Austin high marks on creativity, but, for me, the story fell through on the execution.
