Over the past nine years Jacy has
gotten to know Daniel very well. It was a given that he
cared about him, Daniel was sweet, kind and everyone loved
him, everyone except the bastards who put him in the
hospital. When Jacy gets the phone call that Daniel was
beaten up and would need a place to stay while he
recuperates, there was no hesitation in his decision that he
would be the one to take care of him, much to the dismay of
his wife.
Daniel knew staying with Jacy would be
a mistake for many reasons. The biggest being he was totally
in-love with Jacy and has been since he was a teenager.
Next was the fact that Marissa hated him, not that Daniel
ever gave her reasons to - she just did. Daniel didn’t
think there was anything Marissa cared about outside of
herself including her husband.
Although the two men have worked
closely together for many years, living under the same roof
brought to the surface feelings and emotions that were
difficult to suppress. When Jacy declares his marriage over
after he catches Marissa cheating, there’s nothing left
standing in the way of Jacy and Daniel acting on their
feelings.
All I Want For Christmas
was okay, Jacy and Daniel were nice guys caught up in bad
situations, the worst being Marissa. She held no redeeming
qualities and the way she treated Jacy was just
unreasonable. Daniel, I liked a lot, he was very comfortable
in his own skin and he was what Jacy needed. Jacy needed
someone to appreciate him and point out what was beautiful
and good about him and not degrade him. There were some
minor issues with the storyline that left me a little
unclear as to why certain events occurred, but aside from
that All I Want For Christmas was a pleasant
read. |
