Gabe has brought Brigid to Ireland
because he was ordered to. He loves his wife more than
anything else, but an order is an order, and his boss wants
Brigid to follow the instructions in a journal that had been
handed down in her family for generations.
Brigid was upset to find out her
husband tricked her into coming to Ireland, but now that
she's here, she's happy and determined to right a terrible
wrong.
Ethan was Brigid's lover in a former
life and time. Now that he can remember his past with her,
he's trying hard to keep his hands off Gabe's wife.
The Shimmering Flame is an entertaining story
with some unique twists that kept me interested in reading
more. I really enjoyed the interactions between Gabe and
Brigid a lot. But once Brigid was kidnapped, Gabe quickly
lost all favor in my eyes. Ethan was an interesting
surprise, although with two men on the cover, I knew another
lover would pop up. After a few chapters the story became
rushed and the characters began to lose my interest. I have
loved other stories by this talented author, and won't give
up reading her stories because of this one. |
