Desperate times call for desperate
measures, which is why Lorraina Danning has faked her own
death. Seeing no other way out of her abusive marriage,
Rainie vanished, leaving her husband Peter for good. Or so
she hopes. Rainie re-locates to the quite town of Crystal
Falls, Oregon where she takes a job as a bookkeeper for
rancher, Parker Harrigan. Parker is everything Rainie could
ever hope for in a man but her fear of trusting another man
plus all the lies she has told Parker keep her from getting
close to him. It doesn’t take long for Parker to figure out
that all is not what it seems with Rainie. When he finds out
what her real story is, he’s furious, with Peter. Parker
vows to protect Rainie but Peter is very determined to get
Rainie back and make her pay for what she’s done to him.
Star Bright is a dramatic love story. Rainie’s
abusive husband takes everything from her. Her fears and
insecurities are well founded, but she fights back, and
regains her life. Parker is almost too good to be true. He’s
kind to animals, respects women, and comes from a big loving
family. He has a strong catholic faith, and is a country boy
through and through. One of the things I liked most about
Star Bright is the ending. Rainie protects
herself. Star Bright is old – fashioned,
but a good romance. |
