Jenny
Owens is a conservationist hot on the trail of rogue
treasure hunters intent on tearing up the forest. When she
runs into danger, she is rescued by Rory Gordon, Alpha of
Clan Gordon, and his beta Gavin McGregor. The
shape-shifting pair is on a mission of their own to save
their people from extinction when they stumble upon their
mate. They will not allow the only female capable of
bearing their offspring to leave them or to be harmed.
Jenny
isn’t sure if she can trust them, especially after
discovering they shift into jaguars. They also boss her
around and refuse to let her out of their sight. She’s a
modern woman with a mind of her own! She quickly learns her
strong will is no match for her own desire for two very
determined, hot-blooded Scotsmen!
If you
love sexy were-jaguars with Scottish lilts and lots of
muscles, you’ve come to the right place! Highlanders take a
step back! Watch and learn! There’s a lot more to
First Caress than just a delightful, spunky heroine
and a pair of to-die-for males out for some steamy campfire
frolics. First readers will appreciate the environmental,
‘go green’ and conservation thread within the storyline.
Also, there’s the observation of how people have lost touch
with nature, feeling a connection to animals and the forest,
and that our indifference has caused us to lose so much.
This was a truly unexpected twist that I could appreciate
since more and more people are becoming involved with caring
for and cleaning up the planet.
Lastly,
pertinent detail is added and provided in the love scene
between Jenny, Rory, and Gavin that made me appreciate the
authors’ skill and concern for the work by making their
characters as realistic as possible. This was also evident
in explanation about how the were-jaguars came to exist.
Tianna Xander and Bonnie Rose Leigh are still providing
amazing, lush and fabulous stories that touch the heart and
carry solid messages without it become a lecture. I’m
pleased to say that this dynamic team hasn’t lost their
touch, as their work continues to keep growing with each
series. |
