Jessica may have settled into her job
at the bookstore but one thing she hasn’t done is given up
her dream of being a firefighter and paramedic. When she
finds out on her 30th birthday that she is at the
end of the timeframe when she can apply she finally decides
to do something about it. Kevin, the cute guy who offers to
help her seems to be attracted to her also. But, she can’t
figure him out as he flirts with her then pushes her away.
So while she is attracted to him she is also serious about
taking the test and getting into the department, if only her
friends would support her and not try to distract her from
her goal.
Will she get in? Will Jessica and
Kevin come to terms with what is between them? How will she
be received by Kevin’s co-workers when they find out he is
helping train her?
Hot firefighters and a woman finding
her dream job, and after a fashion her dream man all at the
same time. What more could you ask for in a romance story?
Ms. McClain does a fantastic job in leading the reader
through the ins and outs of training to enter a very
demanding world. I also love the attraction between the two
main characters, and how while Kevin pulls away there always
seems to be something that keeps them together. I
thoroughly enjoyed Spark of Desire and hope to
see another story with the other firefighters in the future. |
