Anna Grace is a vampire on a duel
mission. She has arrived in Richmond to track down a deadly
vampire, Titius. Anna Grace knows that Titius only believes
that humans are good for one thing – food. Which bring her to
the second mission. She is to find the same vampire that
Titius is trying to recruit and do that herself on behalf of
the counsel and their attempt to organized the vampires in
peaceful co-existence. However, Anna Grace has been informed
that Titius has beaten her to Richmond and has already began
his killing.
Theo Billings is a freelance photographer
who works for a local TV station and also takes mood or area
shots for various magazines. One night while taking some
random shots in an alley, Theo picks up something strange.
The developed shots show what appears to be two men and a
woman in an alley. When looking at the shots in order, Theo
is not quite sure what he has caught, but it looks like there
may be blood in the last picture.
Anna Grace knows she has to find Theo and
get those pictures and destroy them before they can do any
damage. When Theo discovers Anna Grace in his apartment, it
is a night when they both make decisions that will later come
back to change both their lives. Anna Grace and Theo need to
work together, along with others, to not only stop Titius but
to destroy him and his plans for humankind. When the final
battle comes will Anna Grace and Theo get their happiness
forever or will Titius rule the day?
Night’s Journey has a kick
ass heroine and a hero who knows what he wants and how to get
it. Anna Grace has been a vampire for many, many years and is
putting all her abilities with the counsel and their goal of
organizing the stable vampires. Theo has always known he has
something special as a gift. He normally won’t use it but
when his path is crossed with Anna Grace’s Theo will do
anything to keep her safe. When Anna Grace and Theo had to
make some hard decisions, I was right there flipping the pages
to see what would happen. I truly love the world Ms.
Armstrong has created with her Blood Lines characters and once
again I was captivated within the first few paragraphs. With
Anna Grace and Theo, she has another great couple that had me
reading Night’s Journey in one sitting.
Discovering that the couples in the first Blood Lines book
played key roles here was just the cherry on top of a
fantastic story line. Night’s Journey is a must
read for anyone who has been following the Blood Lines
series. If you are just beginning with this novel, you have a
sensual and erotic journey of discovery ahead of you with just
enough suspense to keep things hot and spicy.
Note: while every book can be read as a
stand-alone, I highly recommend that you go back to the first
novel and read them in order. |
