Rina has
always been protected by her brothers, which makes her unrequited
feelings for their friend Kandros difficult to resolve. She’s never
been certain if the handsome Cadari male is willing to cross the
line, so she decides to take the plunge with a surprise visit to his
home world. During her visit, Rina is kidnapped by the Zacoris,
ancient Cadari enemies, and made into a tagratis, a sex slave of
massive sexual appetites that must be isolated from society.
Kandros takes the
blame for not protecting her, opening his heart and soul to her
before losing her forever. Hope comes in the form of an aquamarine
necklace and an antidote that is still in the early stages. With
these possibilities, Rina might be cured and able to have a future
with Kandros. If not, by Cadari law, she will forced to live in a
virtual prison with other tagratis.
Cadari Lover
has plenty of hot and heavy moments. What comes shining through is
Kandros’ vulnerability and Rina’s courage. In the beginning, Rina
is victimized; Kandros is her protector and champion. There’s a
turning point where everything changes. I’ve always appreciated
when a heroine is able to assert the right to protect the man she
loves. Rina might be the damsel in distress, but she doesn’t take
anything lying down—unless, it’s with a naked Kandros. Together
they are definitely a Red Carpet kind of duo. This story hit a
homerun with me from the first sentence to the last paragraph. |
