Miki Kendrick is a petite firecracker
with an IQ that is off the charts and an amazing knowledge of
weapons. Miki is trying to figure out what she wants to do
with her life and her first step is to get through her
dissertation. However, before she can get to that she has a
stop to make – her best friend’s home with the Magnus pack.
This is going to force Miki to see HIM again.
Conall Viga-Feilan has always been a part
of the Magnus pack even though he is a direct descendent of
the Vikings of days gone by. Conall has never stopped
thinking of the short, fiery human friend of his Alpha’s
mate. Conall is counting the time until Miki will be in the
pack house and planning, yet again, a way to get into her
pants.
After Miki is attacked by unknown enemies
of the pack, Conall decides he is going with her while she
prepares to give her dissertation. Conall has been told to
protect Miki at all costs, although his Alpha wonders if
Conall is the one that should be protected. Miki believes
that a man like Conall is only attracted to her for sex and
afterward he will just disappear. Miki and Conall fight like
crazy until they give in and accept the passion that flames
between them. When the same group attacks Miki and Conall
again, it is their belief in each other and their fighting
anyway possible to win, that puts them and their feelings for
each other over the top.
I absolutely loved and inhaled Go
Fetch! Miki is a person that does not really believe
is fairytales. Her life has made Miki a true believer in hard
reality and she relies only on herself. Conall has always
held the wolf back, but he is learning that Miki is the one
person that he can be himself with. Their fighting each other
and their attraction is only foreplay to them. Miki and
Conall don’t have a normal courtship or relationship; however,
it just could not have happened any other way. I have waited
for Miki’s story since reading Pack Challenge, the first novel
in the Magnus Pack series, and I was not disappointed. I
laughed, squirmed and cheered while reading Go Fetch!,
but could not put it down until the last page had been
turned.
Ms. Laurenston has found herself on my
small list of author’s that I make sure to pick up the day her
new releases come out. With an alpha hero, kick ass heroine
and plot that instantly grabs, I have no choice but to give
Go Fetch! a Joyfully Recommended read. As a matter of
fact, I will just say that the entire Magnus Pack series is a
must read and must have forever in your library – and I
haven’t even seen the third novel in the series yet. Please
keep them coming. |
