Leah Ryan
is having a really bad day… her car just got repossessed, she
lost her job, and she needs to find another one before she
loses the rest of her belongings. Leah figures the best place
to start looking for a job is where she puts the blame for her
lost job, Parker Repossession Services.
Callahan
Parker cannot believe when Leah shows up at his shop
requesting a job since he caused her to lose hers. Cal
doesn’t think that repossessing cars is a woman’s job, but he
relents and gives her a chance. Leah does not seem like just
any woman.
Leah
thinks this may be the perfect job for her… stealing cars
legally. Leah led a somewhat wild youth that found her in
some juvenile detention centers. She has put her past behind
her and has been working toward making a good life for herself
and her brother, Jesse. She eagerly jumps right into her new
job and as Leah and Cal work closely together their attraction
quickly grows. One of Leah’s first jobs brings her face to
face with an unpleasant reminder of her past, Brent Woodward.
Brent Woodward is a very bad guy who immediately rouses Leah’s
sense of justice. It soon becomes her crusade to put him out
of business. Woodward is a dangerous and lethal enemy and
eventually Lean and Cal must call on the people from Leah’s
past to help them out. Will they find a way to stop Woodward
without losing not only their lives, but the fledgling
relationship that is growing between them?
Repo Chick
Blues
was a
great read and I cannot wait to read more of this series.
Leah is a tough woman who cannot seem to put her faith into
anyone but herself and it was great fun to watch her slowly
attempt to come out of her shell. The growing sexual tension
between Cal and Leah was sexy and hot and I enjoyed their
interactions. Cal is a nice guy who wants to be closer to
Leah, but realizes he will have to breach her defenses. The
cast of characters that Tracy Sharp introduces are interesting
and I hope to read more about them as this series continues.
Repo Chick Blues is an edgy and sexy start to
what I hope will be a long series and I can hardly wait for
the next installment!! |
