Imagine reliving one of the most traumatic moments of your life all over again.

Three years ago, Fire Captain Damien Christoval arrived on the scene of a terrible car accident and found his wife of ten years dead.  Those horrible images quickly flashed through Damien’s mind as he arrived upon his latest car accident scene to find a crumpled sports car with a woman trapped inside.  Fortunately, this time he was able to save the woman’s life.  However, Damien was not prepared for an immediate attraction to this beautiful stranger while he and his crew were rescuing her.  And, it didn’t help matters that she reminded him of his past love.

Renowned author Lacey Avery would rather experience love through her romance writings than with a man.  A past event with someone whom she thought loved her, then kicked her to the curb during the lowest point of her life, left her deeply scarred.  Determined to never allow another man too close to her heart again, Lacey developed an alter ego by the name of Lace and beginning living out her romantic fantasies on paper.  That was until she met and instantly fell for Damien Christoval.  Will Lacey trounce her fears and allow Damien into her heart?

With the turn of each page, I fell deeper into the spellbinding world that Giselle Carmichael created within this spectacular novel called Lace and before I knew it, I had completed the book.  I quickly gobbled up this spin-tingling novel in one setting.  This fabulous pager-turner had my emotions overflowing from one extreme to next – I laughed and cried right along with each and every character.  The entire book was rich with both amazing detail and sensational passion.  I could totally relate to both Lacey and Damien on a personal level and I fully understood the reasoning behind their actions throughout the story.  Although, there were times where I wanted to bang their heads together and say enough is enough!  As I mentioned earlier, Lace will bring forth many emotions – emotions that you never knew you had.  Hats off to Ms. Carmichael for writing one of the most heart felt novels that I have ever had the pleasure of reading.  Without a doubt, Lace is a keeper and has found a permanent spot on my bookshelf.  I am thrilled to award Lace a Joyfully Reviewed Recommended Read.
