Sitting in a bar with her overbearing
older sister and mild mannered brother-in-law, Annette Phelps
thought she had the perfect solution to prevent a never-ending
lecture on the substandard status of her life. Annette
invented a fictitious boyfriend Michael Richards III, who
friends and family called Rich. Unknown to Annette and party,
the real Rich’s best friend is listening to the conversation
and calls his buddy. Thinking this was one of his estranged
wife’s scams, Rich decided he would play the role of escort,
determined to get to the bottom of this, even if he had to
seduce the answers out of the woman. At his unexpected
arrival, Annette’s mind went blank. Sliding in beside
Annette, Rich leaned over and kissed her cheek, whispering,
‘smile like you’re happy to see me or the game’s over’.
Deal of a Lifetime is hilarious,
erotic and heartwarming. Barbara Huffert created a sensual
story with witty conversations and passion. My favorite
character is Rich who uses sarcasm to cover up his fear of
choosing another wrong woman, but is very passionate in bed.
Annette lives in the shadows of big sister, yet she has a
passion to match Rich’s. Deal of a Lifetime exhibits
friendships, family connection and variety in the bedroom.
An excellent story from Barbara Huffert,
I hope to see more from her in the future. |
