Drake left his home fifteen years ago to
become the SpyMaster for Draconia. He left his dragon partner
behind because he felt he could not measure up to Mace, the
“perfect knight” according to his father. When Drake returns
to Draconia to deliver a message to the king, he meets Krysta
and is enchanted with her. However, she is already involved
with Mace.
The three of them embark on a quest to
find a missing prince. Krysta finds herself torn between
these two men. How can she love two men? But their
matchmaking dragon partners have plans for them. Can they
convince Drake he is cut out to be a knight? Can he get over
his past and become the knight his dragon wants him to be?
FireDrake is book 5 in the
Dragon Knights series. Ms. D’Arc leads you on an adventure
with each of these books. It makes me wish dragons were
real. I have been a fan of this series since the first book,
Maiden Flight. This story continues with Drake, who
was introduced in book 4, Prince of Spies. Drake has
had issues with this overly critical father, the main reason
he left his home. That aspect of his relationship is explored
and I got teary-eyed when they finally had it out. The
relationship between the three main characters is brilliant.
You can tell Drake and Mace were friends and have rekindled
that friendship. The fact that they both have a great love
for Krysta, just adds to this superb story. They embark on
the quest seeking the missing prince, but what they discover
about themselves is the biggest adventure of all. If you love
fantasies, or have followed this series, FireDrake
is the book for you. Put Bianca D’Arc on auto buy. You
won’t be disappointed and that is why I am Joyfully
Recommending FireDrake. |
