Unimaginable horrors had been their
daily lives before Shay and her mate Raerei broke free.
Nowadays the two fly aboard their own small ship aptly named
Crimson Shackles.
Picking up supplies on yet another
crude station, Shay decided to check out the local slave
auction where unfortunately the pirate Skand Toolon is also
in attendance. A young man no taller than Shay was dragged
onto the block and Skand began outbidding everyone else but
something inside Shay made her make a decision that will
change the course of her life and that of her mate.
It is no easy task to sneak the
purchased slave aboard ship but Shay manages it. Never
before has she seen anyone like Jaed’aden who she nicknames
Jaed, yet he stirs something in her and its not motherly.
Raerei on the other hand is not happy about the new ship
mate, at least not at first. Strange things begin to happen
on board ship such as receiving coordinates to a system
they’ve never explored before plus information concerning
Jaed’s younger sister. Shay, Raerei and Jaed’s feelings for
each other will be put to the ultimate test in the coming
weeks. They will face possible capture, death and unknown
enemies as well as question their belief in their gods
before the journey is over.
Intense and captivating characters are
just a few of the reasons you need to check out
Crimson Shackles by talented author Theolyn Boese.
Crimson Shackles is the second story in the
Ta’e’sha Caesurae, a branch of the Ta’e’sha Chronicles.
This story can be understood on its’ own although you should
check out the rest of this popular series. A fascinating
character driven story, Crimson Shackles
ultimately explores deeply flawed, slightly broken people
who show readers what true character really is. It’s not a
perfect story but at the core there is such ‘heart’ that
Crimson Shackles will stay with you when the
story ends. I Joyfully Recommend Crimson Shackles
for anyone who loves a solid sci-fi romance truly out of
this world. |
