Shy and unpopular high school student Sophie Alton has had a
crush on Hunt for a long time. Convinced he wouldn’t give a
girl like her the time of day, Sophie never approaches him,
but that all changes when Hunt rescues Sophie from a groping
druggie at a party. Afterwards, they spend a surprisingly
passionate night in each other’s arms. Hunt is leaving for
the Army the next day. They know they’ll probably never see
each other again. The best night of their lives was a
one-shot deal.
Twelve years later, Sophie has become a journalist.
She has written several articles about Megan Rawlings, a
young runaway and convicted drug user. While in prison,
Megan gave birth to a baby girl who was swiftly taken from
her. On the day Megan was reunited for a visit with her
daughter, she and the baby disappear. Marc Hunter is Megan’s
brother. He’s in prison after being convicted of murder.
Marc finds out about Megan’s disappearance. He is convinced
she is in trouble and is determined to help her. Although
Marc hasn’t seen Sophie in twelve years, he knows she’s the
only one who can help him. He grants her an interview and
once she gets close to him, he takes her hostage and
escapes. When Sophie realizes that Marc Hunter is “Hunt,”
she is shocked and dismayed. He’s remained a very special
man in her eyes, but now he is a criminal. Hunt has spent
the last twelve years wanting Sophie back. On the run and
fighting for their lives, Marc and Sophie’s love is
rekindled as they try desperately to find Megan and her
baby. Sophie is a target now and Marc knows he’ll either end
up dead or back in prison. There is no future for them, but
Sophie doesn’t want to let Hunt go, again.
Unlawful
Contact
is dark, edgy, and intense. Hunt is brave, honorable, and
sexy. Sophie is sweet, smart, and tough. The chemistry
between them is very strong, the sex scenes are incredibly
hot, and the romance is achingly tender. The
characterization in
Unlawful Contact
is fantastic. There are so many great characters, both good
and villainous. I was on the edge of my seat from first page
to last.
Unlawful Contact is amazing and the ending is
perfect! It is a very well written and moving story.
