All Sybil Ames wanted to do was become
a good, powerful witch instead of her current position of a
witch apprentice, or should she say “the coven’s errand
girl”. Maybe with the help of an old book she found at a
yard sale, Sybil will finally be able to cast magical
spells. But, Sybil gained more than she bargained for when
she unknowingly opened the gate to the Shadow Realm
accidentally releasing demons into the world. Deeply upset
and horrified by what she had done, Sybil begged the goddess
for forgiveness.
Luckily for Sybil, the goddess took
pity on her and she was happily willing to do whatever it
took to close the gate that was until she learned what she
had to do to right her wrong – she had to become a Shadow
Guardian. The only way to do that was to spend twenty-four
hours in a sexual escapade with each of the original five
male Shadow Guardian members.
In her mind, Sybil knew that now was
not the time to fall in love; nevertheless, her heart had
other ideas and Kenrick, the wolf shifter, was the man who
stole it. And, although his body was in total agreement,
Kenrick refused to acknowledge that Sybil was his mate,
especially since she was a witch. Will Sybil be able to
convince Kenrick that they belonged together? And more
importantly, will she be able to fulfill her promise to the
goddess by closing the gate to the otherworld?
Kudos goes to Charlene Teglia for
starting out with a bang in her creation of the Shadow
Guardians series! Claimed by the Wolf was a
thrilling, sexually charged story that left me breathless
with heated desire. All of the five male Shadow Guardians
oozed great sex appeal and they had Sybil tied tightly in
knots so much so that she didn’t know whether she was coming
or going half of the time and each of her sexual encounters
with the men was steamy hot and wickedly exciting. Readers,
you definitely will be blushing on countless occasions
before the dramatic conclusion makes its appearance. And,
if that was enough to put your panties in a twister, the
suspenseful undertones will have you hanging on the edge of
your seat with intriguing anticipation eager to see just how
the storyline will unfold. All in all, Claimed by the
Wolf was a spectacular novel that I took great
pleasure in reading. I can’t wait to see what’s in store
for the four remaining Shadow Guardians. |
