| The climb to the top has not been easy for Amber, starting
from an abusive childhood, then moving to prostitution in
order to better herself. Sometimes, the past and its secrets
cannot lay buried; their ugly heads always rear at the most
inopportune time. For Amber they came in the form of her
abusive father who is blackmailing her with some compromising
pictures taken in her younger days. She has to find the
strength to stand up to her father for the sake of her new
relationship with Denton who accepted her despite their age
difference , and a soaring career in the Real Estate
business. Or will she choose to hightail it out of town and
start all over again until her father finds her?
Love With A Younger Man is well planned and written,
so much so that I wasn’t aware of the length. I liked the
fact that the story showcased a woman who was down and came to
the top despite the tragedies encountered along the way. It
was not about a damsel in distress needing to be rescued by
her knight, but true friends stepping up to the plate to
help. I did not believe the happy ending though; I can
picture them a few months down the line on Dr Phil or TLC
trying to hold onto the marriage (I realize these are
fictional characters). |
