What happens after the concert, when the
bright lights are off and the stars are left to their own
devices, to live their own lives? People forget that even rock
stars have private lives with friends, family, and lovers. One
woman knows what happens and this is her story.
When I read the description of When
the Lights Go Down, I thought it was going to be more
than what it was. I was disappointed that it was simply a
steamy encounter. For me, the description was misleading. Most
people can deduce, and some know for a fact, that one of the
things a rock star does is have sex. The shortness of the
story was also a disappointment. I need substance, more of a
plot. The writing wasn’t bad, but didn’t feel wholly natural
and flowing. I think if the story had been lengthened and had
gone more in depth regarding Victor’s life off-stage, I would
have been more pleased with the story. |
